week 10--Celia finds a "not so magic" carpet in zone 1 and an oystercatcher chick

I walked Zone One for Alyson Friday, July 6th.  Trash count would be two Keep It Clean canvas bags full  (I count this as 4 bags--2 each).  I picked up mostly plastic bottles, a few beer cans, fireworks and a large piece of carpet in a Wet Sand color.  Dragging that wet carpet to the trash can was a real challenge, which probably explains why the people who brought it didn't take it with them when they left.  

I did get to see our Oystercatcher family, including their chick.  I see the parents almost every day that I walk, but seeing the chick is a real honor.  cbj
